Documentary-grade video, from a studio that also builds the site it lives on.
CrunchPixels has produced hundreds of corporate videos and TV commercials, plus several feature-length documentaries — directing, shooting, editing, grading and scoring all handled in-house, by the same people who’ll build the page your film ends up on.
Most corporate video is shot by one person and edited by someone who wasn’t there.
A freelance shooter hands off footage to an editor who never saw the room, the light, or the brief in person — and it shows. The story gets flattened to fit whatever was captured, the pacing feels like a template, and the music is whatever stock track cleared fastest. None of that is a skills problem. It’s a structural one: the two halves of the job were never in the same conversation.
One person, start to finish.
Everything that happens on set
Directing, cinematography, lighting and on-set audio, run by someone who’s carried a feature-length documentary from first shoot day to final cut — not just a corporate testimonial reel.
Everything that happens after
Editing, motion graphics and titles, and colour grading that gives the finished piece a proper cinematic look instead of a flat, corporate one.
An original score, not stock library music
Composed and mixed in-house, so the finished film doesn’t sound like every other corporate video running the same three stock tracks.
Feature-length documentaries, 2020–2023.
FoundHers, Women in Science, Women in Design, and the Black & Gold German Shepherd documentary were all directed, produced and shot in-house, alongside an ongoing run of TV commercials and corporate and brand video for businesses across the country. Long-form work is a different discipline to a thirty-second spot — it’s where the same crew learns to hold attention, build a story that earns its ending, and keep a shoot moving on schedule and on budget, all skills that carry straight over into shorter commercial work.
The film doesn’t have to wait for a separate website project.
Because film and web design sit under the one studio, a brand video, a set of product shots and the site they live on can be scoped and built together — see our web design work, or, if you’re Tasmania-based, our dedicated Launceston web design hub.
Common questions.
Do you handle filming and editing, or just one side of it?
Both, as a rule. The same person who directs and shoots the film also edits, grades and scores it, which is exactly what keeps the finished piece consistent with what was actually captured on the day.
Can you produce a full TV commercial campaign, not just a single video?
Yes — from a single brand video through to a multi-spot commercial campaign, scoped and quoted around what you actually need to run.
Do you write and record original music for the video?
Where it suits the project, yes — original scoring and mixing is handled in-house rather than licensed from a stock library. If stock music is the better fit for your budget or timeline, we’ll say so.
Do you travel for shoots outside Tasmania?
Yes. CrunchPixels is based in Tasmania but has always been a mobile operation — we travel for the right project, on the same basis as any other production booking.
